In May, I'm tackling *emotional, spiritual, and creative growth* (and hopefully a perspective check) with journaling inspiration from @leacayoungart Leaca Youngβs class βThe Heart of Journal Writingβ #theheartofjournalwriting - 2nd quarter is *Growth & Connection*. One of the May prompts is, βletting go to make space.β
A Glimpse of the Chaos: A Work in Progress
Sometimes, the mess of life is just too much to tame, and we end up adding more layers to our stories - like this art spread from the past few weeks. Iβve been stuck, wheels spinning, overthinking, adding too much, trying to get it just right. But maybe itβs in these chaotic moments that God whispers the loudest.
In the quiet of slowing down, thereβs peace. βLive slowly enough to think deeply about God.β β J.I. Packer
In May, I'm taking Haemin Sunim's advice, "When you feel overwhelmed and busy, remember that you are not powerless. When your mind rests, the world also rests." I'm taking a jeda/selah where I'll grow into slowness, releasing the noise, and rejoicing in the presence of God replacing that chaos. Stay tuned. But before moving on, I had to let go of April. There's a dumping of my frazzled chaos here - good luck if you make it through all the messy photos. I have so many represented to whom I wish to express gratitude for inspiration.
Lots of happies from my friend @slaphappystudios Kim Smith; *soul seeds* clear stamps @soul_positive Kristi Nazzaro's; @theuglyartclub April βLeast Favorite Colorβ theme #tuacleastfavecolor #uglyisstillart #theuglyartclub #tuacΒ This is truly my *least favorite* mess. But I'm sharing to close the drawers on anxiety, and start anew in May. Plus, I used @deedeecatron @umwowstudio supplies (stamps, bookbinding tape)
A Prayer for Continuing the Journey
Lord,
Thank You for the companionship You've given me within this chaotic season, a faithful sowing of trust, creativity, and sacred friendship.
Thank You for the space You've cultivated in my heart, the hidden garden where my heart can breathe and bloom in your love.
Bless this next step, this fresh chapter. Let it be marked by lightness, peace, and gentle joy.
Let the familiar warmth of Your presence wrap around every new Word of Yours I discover, every new seed planted in meβ¦and that I scatter.
When the path feels unfamiliar, remind me that I am not starting over, I am simply continuing the joyful peace of tabernacle I began with You. Root me deeper. Stretch me wider. Keep my heart soft, open, and brave. Thank You for walking with me always, Amen.
